The Calderstones were recorded before excavation and again afterwards, when Stones A–F could be captured individually and previously buried surfaces had become accessible.
Laser scanning supplied the measured spatial reference and scale for photogrammetry.
The second phase recorded Stones A–F individually after excavation.
The two phases were combined into more complete photorealistic 3D representations.
